JOY Challenge

New! 30 Day Joy Challenge! Let’s make this our most participated challenge to date!

Our new 30 day challenge focuses on others. Remember the old acronym?

JOY -  Jesus, Others, and You!

A song went along with the phrase and it goes like this:

Jesus and Others and You
Written by B. Metzger, 1951

Jesus and others and you
What a wonderful way to spell joy
Jesus and others and you
in the life of each girl and each boy
"J" is for Jesus for He has first place,
"O" is for others you meet face to face,
"Y" is for you, in whatever you do,
Put your self third and spell JOY.

How does it work?

You have several options:

  1. For 30 days, skip eating out, buying fast foods, snacks, coffee, etc.; instead save the money you would have spent and keep it in a jar.  At the end of 30 days, give or spend the money on someone in need. *

  2. For 30 days, you may choose to continue eating out, etc., but you will MATCH the money you spent.  Again, you will save the money for 30 days and then spend it on someone else. *

  3. Last option, particularly, for those who seldom eat out: Save all your change from shopping, buying gas, etc. in a jar.  At the end of 30 days, give your money to someone in need.
    *  You can mix or match options 1 & 2 based on your schedule.
